Well, cause the current linux phone ecosystem is a wasteland. Pine sucked all the oxygen out of the environment, with a shit dead-on-arrival product. Pinephone doent even work as a bloody phone. Other Linux phones are 2-3 generations old, and priced at $700 or so. So, we're stuck with Apple or Google. Not great choices either way. |
