We also all have the right to judge people for their associations. You’re right to an action or belief doesn’t make it inherently good, or even equal to other actions and beliefs.

Getting scammed is objectively bad. If you're surrounded with people who are routinely getting scammed by Donald Trump of all people, that's bad. That doesn't mean they're bad people but... something is going on there for sure.
