What you have to do, as a local, is regularly invite some out-of-town friends or relatives to stay in your apartment for a weekend to get yourself unstuck from your rut. You will need to show them around, take them to art museums and downtown views and restaurants, help them to not get lost on the train system etc., and in the process, you will get to do things you don't normally do as a townie.
