One of the things that initiated my MacPro5,1->M2Pro migration (~2023Jan) was the simple fact that the latter's SSD was faster than the former's RAM. And then that Its newer RAM is even several <more> orders of magnitude faster[-than-new.SSD] ---- I now run a fulltime MacPro6,1 – with dozens of gigabytes of RAMdisk – as an integrated swapdisk on my localnetwork.
