There are two types of context-based ads IMO, with one context being that of the user, and the other of the things they are doing, Apple has clearly just refused to make the distinction. Reading a website about cheese, show me a cheese-related ad, viewing the map of my neighborhood, show me neighborhood related ads, no need to get my location for any of it. These are things that a server already knows it served you, a website and a map. |
