Plenty in NZ. The police use the wagon. They used to use GM/Holden vehicles but at some point they became the worse choice (reduced headroom in the rear seats amongst other reasons).

they're reasonably popular in Australia. They have done a good job of marketing their station wagons/estates to the road-biking community
