I've been growing increasingly tired of X, it seems like half of my feed is raging around Europoor this and that, proudly bigoted takes and Elon fanboyism. I know that I do affect my feed, I've been unfollowing a lot of people whom I've previously considered relevant. I'm not sure when it changed, it all feels like a huge Trumpism-Elonism cesspool, where the norm is that the more outrageous your take is, the more proud of it you should be. I'm not even saying this politically, it's just intellectually disgusting. When I go to alternatives like Bluesky or Mastodon it feels empty. Is there a sane place on the web left? |

HN is 'good' {not 'very good'} for civil discourse.
I would suggest forums - yes, the good ole forum groups - and specific redds, that focus on broader but specific topics that you enjoy - and staying away from those that you don't.
I also suggest building a personalized network of RSS feeds to content that you like, and interacting the writers and other commenters.

Yes. But they're 'boring' compared to rage/race-baiting, pseudo-politicized gated media with masked--and often open--agendas to keep you continuously riled-up to keep feeding The Age of Stupidity.
