One thing we do in Ireland is that all public transport is free for people aged over 65. While I don't think this was the original _intent_, it definitely seems to encourage people to get out of the house more. (In particular, some people seem to go places just to get the value out of the free pass, which probably keeps them more active than they would otherwise be.) |
