The story is a file storage preferred the batshit crazy design of bulk delete once file storage limit was met or exceeded for whatever period and relied on a email never fails method to inform their user.

Well it's super f'ed. It would have seemed a whole lot smarter and self healing to simply stop any additional uploads.
