Yep, it's always amusing when people try to replace a slow, messy, legacy app with a new implementation that is... much worse than the old one. I think basically, yes, it's just a poor tech culture, and that's how they like it - they're not interested in any process improvements, they just want you to be a ticket taker. Find some other better project if you can, rather than trying to "fix" this one. |
