Glad that Microsoft is getting the message but I doubt that an "effort" to correct the rot from the last 10 years will yield much results. There needs to be a total refocus and probably a substantial rewrite of everything in UX land. Most important is that network calls need to be totally eliminated from anywhere where network connectivity is not central to the application's purpose.

They should go the Apple route and rewrite their entire OS from the ground up and relegate all compatibility issues to a Proton-esque interpretation layer.

That's what they should do. But they won't, because every decision maker at Microslop incorporated has their head surgically attached to their own colon.
