You're correct but it's irrelevant. My point was that these requirements are in the standard and if you want to put the USB logo on a power brick you need to meet them. And the consumer is intended to be able to rely on them - which was & still is a pretty good idea considering the USB-C cable carnage. I wish they did something like this for USB-C cables, but it's probably too late. |
