Arguably the Soviets were on par (or more) than the US in defeating Nazi Germany. (Yes, lend lease, etc, this is not downplaying US contributions). The Eastern Front was the real battlefield were Nazi Germany was doomed. Stalingrad, Kursk, Bagration, etc. |
