The data updates at America/New_York (Eastern time, EST/EDT)

No, you wrote "midnight EST". And you have not edited your comment, so you insist on "EST" notation when DST is in effect.

As of Spring 2026, New York is currently observing EDT, which is UTC-4. EST is UTC-5. Which is it?

Again, there are many sleazy corporations which, at least internally, insist on reckoning time zones as if Daylight Savings didn't exist, and this places an extraordinary burden on employees to figure out What They Really Mean when they schedule meetings in time zones that basically don't exist.

Sorry for the confusion. The data updates at America/New_York (Eastern time, EST/EDT)
Now you're not even putting a time on it. You said midnight, right? I mean, a scheduled "data update" doesn't happen "in a time zone" it just happens at a specified time, which is a different number everywhere in the world, but a specific moment of the day.
