The income tax needs to be replaced with a consumption tax. The income tax is a terrible system for an internet based economy. To ensure that the consumption tax doesn't hit the poor too hard the govt can determine how much someone at the poverty line would pay, on average, in monthly taxes ie$200. The govt then deposits $200 monthly in to every US citizen's USG debit card. |
