It was also rather eclectic in a way that later magazines like PC Magazine weren't (even if PC Mag did still have features like assembly programming columns). I certainly can't think of any magazines remotely like the big computer mags today. Taken to the extreme of Computer Shopper, no one is buying a magazine in large part for the ads today. |
