8 years ago, when Microsoft bought GitHub, there was much digital ink spilled and some people/projects did leave for GitLab or elsewhere.
So one explanation would be that anybody cares already has left.

I'd like to leave, but is a lot to lift for what amounts to a reliable/durable git remote storage.
