Online service works for some but not others. IRS doesn’t sync with the state registries for databases. So if your LLC is close to a name of another one in their out of date DB, IRS breaks.

Their fax machine doesn’t always work. No way to email.

One must go through snail mail and it takes months to get an EIN.
