Being tall is like being white. When you have it, it doesn’t seem like a big deal and you really don’t know what anyone else is talking about. Some of the comments seem to miss the point, being tall isn’t just great, it is a “secret to success.” And not as straight forward as everyone thinks. It isn’t “6ft” either, I think the author isn’t in the tall club, because tall “starts” at 6ft. It is typical that those who are a “head and shoulders” above the rest to be “looked up to.” Really. Being tall is identifying and others will naturally turn to single those out, even if they’re not necessarily more qualified. And let’s just face it, there are a demographic of people who have what appears to be a “20-30%” more magnitude than the average. That’s height, strength, and well, brain cavity size. It isn’t unreasonable to say a great mass projects confidence if not competence. |
