Yes, you would have to extend some poetic license. This was a bit of ad lib, the US branch of Christianity follows it's own logic and sadly I cannot answer the serious question. I'm pretty sure there were some bits in the Bible about loving thy enemy and turning the other cheek. But maybe I misremember. |
