They’re going to “pay” engineers in the tools they need to do their work? Basically buying their tools with corporate script? Don’t they provide them with the tools needed to do their work now? And is this something they can spend somewhere? It’s not money, it’s not equity, it’s not vacation or sick time and it’s not matching retirement money. So how is this not “pay the engineers less and hope they don’t notice”? |

I think the title is misleading.
That said, a digital company town would be consistent for 2026.
