We forgot two things:

First, this kind of phrasing is repeated again and again since Cobol was launched. A machine code writer said to Grace Hopper: "everyone can write programs!"

Second, as Dijkstra said once "computers are for programmers like telescopes for astronomers", programming isn't about writing lines of code, programming is about knowing how to deal with requirements and putting them to work as a computer program.
