There’s an argument that MAYBE it did - with the Second World War, and the allies’ ability to completely destroy the means of production in Germany and Japan. Aircraft factories, munitions factories, forges, steel refineries: all wiped out systematically to reduce the enemy’s ability to wage war. But to your point… this is not those days. |
