Ha. I will try yours. You should try mine. It may not be your style but it's neat hearing from someone who's had similar feelings. I've been working on https://emmaemail.app/ - It sorta treats your inbox like a todo list. There are some interesting features, but it's mostly centered around having less stuff. You can read about it in the webpage there. It's iOS and gmail only (so your outlook requirement may write it off immediately), but it's been my baby for almost 2 years now. I made it to fill the Newton-shaped hole in my heart (email client that went out of business in July 2024). It's got a kind-of opinionated inbox situation. There's no delete. That's the biggest feedback I get. I'm against that. It's got a one-tap-unsubscribe feature to avoid the "sign in to adjust your prefs" (go find your credentials), "uncheck the box related to the email you received" (figure out which checkbox it is), "don't forget to hit save!", "please wait 48 hours while our system updates"... Mine's not open source and I intend to charge 2.99/mo for it. I just haven't had the heart to charge yet without a desktop client or supporting more hosts. I'm picky about my software. I've been working on it for a long time. Nice to find someone else invested enough to give making something new a shot. Excited to try neat mail. Thanks bud.

Wow, that sound to be a good app to be honest must have taken a lot of effort to build! Unfortunately, I have android so can't give it a shot but good luck mate!

And if you try NeatMail, happy to know your feedback and all
