You could well be right, though I think whatever the mix of Show HN spam vs. ham is the point that almost all it gets no attention remains the same.

For sure, good Show HNs suffer because of the spam. Hoping it dies down with time, much like the crypto hype cycle (which it turns out are one of the primary sources of spam this cycle too)
