How do I market myself as a freelance Backend/Infrastructure engineer?

I've been on the contract market for a few weeks now.

Apart from submitting my Resume, are there any other proactive things I can do to increase my chances of landing a contract?

For example frontend developers can create portfolios; I'm not sure what the equivalent would be for backend/infra people.
