I think an organic way if they really wanted to make a difference is to truly open sources if SailfishOS 100%, in the same time to use the OS and some of specialised componenta for automotive and contractual business projects (lile google, telegram, HashiCoro, you name it). Sell devices, etc. Benefits: they would skyrocket in popularity and code quality without increasing the team and maintenance cost. This way I would contribute to it with my money and time! |
