As long as officer testimony is given a privileged status the courtroom there’s minimal risk to civilians that body cameras are making things worse for them. 100% percent of prosecutors’ offices in jurisdictions with body cameras have used officer testimony as evidence to prosecute civilians. Meanwhile I suspect the use of officer testimony is even more lopsided in favor of cops. |
