There’s an ever-growing movement of physical media collectors online. They’re interesting to watch because they seem to buy pretty much anything. $80 for a 4K release of super-flop Tank Girl? Sure. It seems more of an obsession than simply buying the films you like. And they’re pretty defensive about it. One collector spent decades building a massive collection, and almost as long railing against streaming and claiming his physical collection would outlast Netflix… that was until his home burned down in the California wildfires last year. |
