People also voted in USSR. DPRK has a 99,9% voter turnout that modern OECD countries could only dream about. Voting is only a part of the democratic process, but is meaningless taken alone. To add to what you say, Singapore is not a democracy, Lee Kuan Yew's son ruled the country for 20 years after his death, and his successor was chosen by him. |
