I too got confused by oneeyedpigeon's question but I assumed from their claim about it being "setup and forget" that they simply don't know much about it.

You're half right; I just use Patreon differently, that's all. Upon reading your original comment, I remembered about the exclusive content, but that's something that's never personally interested me. I do use Patreon exclusively with a desktop browser, but I don't visit the site all that often because I tend to just subscribe to support a creator, then leave.
