Modern welding lasers are pretty powerful. Hard part is focussing them, especially given need for adaptive optics for atmospheric turbulence. Movement is almost irrelevant, they only deviate from a fixed path while their engines run, and even then those engines are pretty weak. I'm saying the only real limit now is the adaptive optics. |
