Google translate says its just "Dead?"
So it translates literally to "Dead" as opposed to the non-literal "Are you dead yet?"

Yes, in the Chinese phrase "死了么", "死" means "die", "死了" means "dead" (or "has died"), "么" is modal particle for a question.
