There are multiple independent risk factors for heart disease. The major ones are: - LDL / ApoB
- Blood pressure
- inflammation (hs-CRP)
- Insulin resistance (HbA1c)
- Lp(a): strongest hereditary risk factor.
- eGFR: a measure of kidney function
