The comment you quoted was me paraphrasing what I saw as the implied idea that I was reading into the comment I was replying to. It's not what I personally suspect is going on here at all, but I can't dismiss it out of hand. Yes, autophagy does ramp up during fasting, but it's just one of a number of different physiological changes that occur during fasting. |
