The best recent experience is arguably with current Intel chips, actually, because of the battery usage that can reach 20 hours, easily matching Macbooks:

It's also quieter, cooler and doesn't throttle. Not to mention the ability to use SRIOV GPU for running Windows software in a VM. Also, Lenovo tends to limit HiDPI displays to Intel CPUs, for some ekhm unknown reason. |
