I feel compelled to point out a clever comment (not my own) on the linked page:

"127 kOhm * 470 uF silence for the fellow."

i.e. using those values for the external resistor and capacitor would result in a moment of silence (followed by another and another, I suppose)

Resistance times capacity is just time, 127kV/A * 470uAs/V = 59.7s, i.e. one minute.
