They already have, and they are in Chromebooks. Last week, another HN:er posted that he uses a Lenovo Chromebook with a Mediatek SoC as his daily Linux dev machine. https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=45938410 BTW. I don't think Qualcomm SoCs running Windows was just about performance but more of a time-limited exclusivity deal with MS. |
