It's definitely something that could be used as a cause for termination, but whether or not to terminate is up to the company. I would personally chew out, but not fire, a strong engineer for doing that. But that's not really the point here. The point is that it isn't a good reason for a 3rd party to sue the company for copyright infringement. |
