Cat 5e is rated for 2.5 Gbps at the full 100 m. Practically, I've not gotten any frame errors on a 30 m Cat 5e link up for 100 days @ 10 Gbps - but 2.5G is where the cheap consumer products are anyways. Wi-Fi for gaming is usually plenty fine though, especially if you're not in a very dense area. |
