But those endpoints are abstractions. Don't we want control over the surface of the API and our abstractions? If you let the client tell the server what the abstractions are in run-time you've just lost control over that interface? As I was saying, there might be some situations where that's the right thing, but in general it seems you want to have a well controlled layer there the specifies the contract between these pieces. |
