I only use Claude Code, not the web UI. The window seems to start at first use, but I haven't noticed any problems with this. I tend to write "hi" to Claude first thing in the morning just to get my first 5-hour limit going, some time before I start actual work. Occasionally the "did you try turning it off and on again" advice, so logging out and in again, seems to help with rate limiting issues. That said, I wish they would turn the 5-hour and weekly limits into a rolling window. |
