IMO it's an economic problem (GDP must always rise because reasons) and the hedonic treadmill at play. I would even argue against the complexity point and rather point to overengineering being the root cause; an example would be using a robot arm to automate a cup of coffee instead of using existing vending machines for that purpose. > potentially your own skills stagnate as you rely on LLMs more and more.
