I mean, the brain is hardware as in we can take things like neurons and force them to do things like computation in a standalone fashion (biological computer). An FPGA would be the closest non-biological thing we've created. It's hardware that can be programmed like software. Maybe we need a new acronym. Self Programmable Neuron Array. SPNA. |
