The iPhone also is completely closed source, has parts pairing and, most importantly if you wish to not create e-waste -- no removable battery. Even if you offer 8-10 years of security updates/android updates, I am not going to use a phone that shuts down the moment it meets a cold gust of wind... This is the 'ethics' I was referring to. But also remind me, since you mentioned the iPhone (even though it's completely unrelated) and fair treatment of workers... Wasn't there a series of suicides of workers producing Apple products?
