I would say they can't reliably deliver simple work. They often can, but reliability, to me, means I can expect it to work every time. Or at least as much as any other software tool, with failure rates somewhere in the vicinity of 1 in 10^5, 1 in 10^6. LLMs fail on the order of 1 in 10 times for simple work. And rarely succeed for complex work. That is not reliable, that's the opposite of reliable. |
