This is what I mean by "move the goalposts like Gary Marcus did", yes. If what you're claiming is that external, vaguely-symbolic tooling allows a non-symbolic AI to perform better on certain tasks, then I agree with that. If you replace "a non-symbolic AI" with "a human", I agree with that too. |
