It’s definitely not, but I think OP is probably reflecting on the state of the job market.

Surely there's plenty of work that AI can't and won't do for a long time if ever! And plenty of coders will be employed for a very long time to come. Thing is, it doesn't take too much oversupply for price to become essentially zero, even with all those people who are now leaving the industry. In a few years even senior coders will realise that burger flipping or DoorDash-ing makes similar money and will find themselves at crossroads.
I think cutting down on the supply is part and parcel of cutting immigration and education spending.
