This is quite alarming and brings an entirely new threat threat factor to the DNS ecosystem. Outside of hacks/takeovers, the physical (and some digital) content you produce will outlive your domain ownership. How safe them is it to place links into your published work, even ones you control today? Depending on how much penetration (no pun intended) your work has, it can be used as an amazing distribution channel. |
