Well, Cell was a module on a CPU SoC much like a mini-GPU or DSP. It did not perform the way Sony and IBM hoped because it could not get the bandwidth to the RAM to keep it busy. Computer in RAM is something different. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cell_(processor) |
